WESTON, Mass.— On Thursday, Sep. 14, 2023, the Regis College Involvement Fair will take place from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. on the Quad with the rain location being the Upper Student Center.
Gerena Walker, the director of the Center for Student Engagement at Regis College, shared, “We understand that the collegiate experience is whole and goes beyond academics. It is the wish of student engagement for students to find a student organization that feels like home or helps them discover who they are further. All student organizations, various offices, and local businesses will be present at the Involvement Fair. There will be giveaways and prizes, we hope to see everyone there!”
The Involvement Fair, as Walker mentioned, is more than just a gathering of clubs and organizations; it’s a way to enhance your experience as a Regis College student, and offers students the chance to discover interests and passions beyond the classroom.
This fair is a one-stop shop to explore all the clubs and organizations available on campus. It is for people of all passions: athletics, the arts, academics, or repping Regis College as an Orientation Leader or Pride Guide. There is something for everyone.
“At the very least, we hope people walk away not feeling alone, and feel a sense of belonging to campus,” said Walker.
College is not just about earning a degree; it’s also about building lasting relationships. The Involvement Fair helps bring together students who share similar interests. Joining clubs and organizations allows students to connect with faculty and peers who have similar passions, creating lifelong relationships.
Being involved within the Regis community provides students with opportunities to take on leadership roles. Whether students are elected as a club president, help organize events, or run a club’s social media page, students gain valuable leadership skills that will serve them now and in the future.
College workload is demanding, so it’s necessary to find a school-life balance. Engaging in extracurricular activities, whether it’s a cultural club or academic organization, can be an excellent way to take a break but still be involved.
The times that members of the Regis Community experience during their involvement in clubs and organizations are some of the most memorable moments of their college journey.
